State Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Thursday said the AAP-led Delhi government should learn from Punjab to effectively implement the school education model. Singla’s statement came after Punjab became the number one state in the country in the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2019-20 released by the Government of India a few days ago.
The Punjab cabinet minister alleged that the Kejriwal government had “spent” taxpayers’ money on advertising campaigns instead of investing in the infrastructural development of schools in the national capital. To make Punjab the number one state in the country, the entire staff of the school education department in the performance grading index, according to an official statement.
Singla thanked the Chief Minister for his continued support and visionary leadership and assured that the education department would continue its efforts to improve performance to achieve 100 per cent marks next year. He said no stone would be left unturned in maintaining a high-level position in the country.
