“Now we have no choice but to focus on JEE,” said Nirman Prasad, another 12th standard student at Jawahar Vidya Mandir (JVM) Shyamli. All this time, we only focused on board exams. “The government’s decision to hold four entrance exams for JEE will give students more time to prepare but at the same time increase the level of competition,” he added.

Pankaj Singh, owner of the coaching institute, said that NEET candidates are currently undergoing co-online coaching, tests and doubt clearing sessions.
A significant section of humanities students, however, are concerned about the status of board grading. Sudhanshu Pandey, a 12th standard student of JVM Shyamli, said, “Many students were not serious during the internal exams and they are planning to focus on improving their performance in the board exams. These students fear that if CBSE adopts the mark on the basis of their internal examinations, it will be difficult for them to get admission in reputed institutes like Delhi University. ”
