The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is likely to announce the results of 10th and 12th this week. More than lakhs of students have registered for the examinations this year, out of which about 26,14,9 students for Std. 12 class and 2,09,101 for Class 10 board examinations.

The UP board had earlier canceled the exams due to the second wave of Kovid-19. Earlier it was speculated that the results would be released on July 15, however, the board denied this and said the results would be released this week. The board has not yet announced the exact dates of the results. The apex court had earlier directed all state boards to declare Class 12 results by July 31. After the results for 10 and 12 students are declared, they can check the result on the official portal – upresults.nic.in and upmsp.edu.in.

Probably other boards, UPMSP has devised an alternative assessment method to evaluate students, which has internal and pre-board examination marks. For Class 10 students, their marks will be calculated on the basis of 50:50 formula, i.e., the result of Class 9 examination will be 50 per cent and the pre-board examinations of Class 10 will be given 50 per cent weight. For Class 12 students, Class 10 results will be given 50 per cent, Class 12 Pre-Board 10 per cent, and Class 11 final marks 40 per cent.

An 11-member committee was formed to prepare the evaluation process. Students must pass at least 33 percent in each subject and the exam. Candidates who are not satisfied with the result of the board may opt for the written examinations to be held at a later date.

Last year, thth.44 per cent students appeared for the board exam, while in class 10, 83 83..31 per cent appeared for the exam.
